This is an international mailing list which, while primarily English,
has messages that are legitimately written in other languages.
Unfortunately, some of us can't read all of the languages used here.
Is there an e-mail header field that is intended for identifying the
language[1]? If so, could people be encouraged to use it here?

Of course, there will be people whose e-mail software can't be
configured to generate arbitrary header fields, can't be configured to
filter on arbitrary header fields, or both. But it would be nice if
subscribers could automatically filter out messages that they can't
read, or automatically route them to a folder for subsequent
Babelfish.

[1] Not the character set, which is easy.
