2029 --- 360/29
What is 2029?
I have never known S/360 model 29.
As far as I know, S/360 models were:
20, 22, 25, 30, 40, 44, 50, 65, 67, 75, 85, 91, 95, and 195.

I might as well just post the major (4-digit) model numbers here, starting
with z900 (the first 64-bit machine, introduced in late 2000) and leading
to System z10:
2064: z900
2066: z800
2084: z990
2086: z890
2094: z9 EC
2096: z9 BC
2097: z10 EC
2098: z10 BC

I have no particular inside information on this point, but occasionally we
do have people with a sense of history. That's nice to see the 20xx echoes,
isn't it?
That said, there's only one whole 20xx number past 2098 (in decimal
arithmetic). It would appear that 20xx will become something else.
Is there a place to look up machine model numbers
and find out what series they belong to?
We're marketing like mad (only had 7 billable days
all year so far for two instructors) and a book we
purchased often lists the installed machines by
model number (e.g. 9672) instead of z900, z800,
z9, z10
