Assuming that you have made the changes to the z/VM system (if any are
required) so that it also understands the new device addresses, everything
will be fine once you get the backup job set up correctly for the VM volumes
(see below).
Make sure that you take Physical volume backups of the packs

I am moving LPARs from one Z10 BC to another.
One is a Zos 1.10 and the other is ZVM 5.4 having Linux images.
I have built IODF and IOCDS for the new Mainframe similar to the old one but
taking into account the new devices using HCD.
I will do a Dump restore of the ZOS and bring it up.
