I have heard (from a well placed IBM source) there will definitely be a
z/196 BC but have no date. If IBM runs true to form I would expect to
see the announcement sometime in Q4 of this year

We're likewise sort of expecting a z196BC announcement in Q4 this
year. No real basis for that expectation.
