Does anyone have some recommendations on the number of volumes required for
z / OS 2.1 upgrade ?
Any pointers on z/OS 2.1 migration from 1.13 ?
Any advise on the above would be appreciated.

If you read the Migration Guides and If you are using a Serverpac install, then
you should have the amount of storage you will need.
I have read in the migration guides it is more volumes than z/OS V1.13.
If you have 3rd party products on your sysres, then more volumes still.

You've touched on the one concern I have with using BPXMODEL to automatically
set up a HOME for every user coupled with an automount policy that
automatically creates the home file system. While it certainly is convenient,
it potentially turns every ordinary CICS and IMS user into a
