production site, you want to run with replication on in your DR situation when
production transaction are modifying data.
Just reverse the replication when starting up the DR site.

One of our DS box in DR had a power failure last night and our production
LPARS logon got impacted . When I checked up the RMF i saw many DASD
devices were overloaded and flood of PPRC error messages too in SYSLOG.
Once we fixed the power failure and re-established the replication the
logins
SCLM is ancient and only slightly revered. No revenue attached to fixing it up.
Superc - well I happen to know it's a weird beast and untangling the 24-bit

I have a few HSM ML2 duplex tapes that no longer have their corresponding
migrate tapes that I can't seem to get rid of. If I try to do DELVOL, I get
an error saying they're not defined migrate volumes. What we're doing is
migrating our HSM ML2 environment into a VTS

HSM will not even mount attempt to mount it for the recycle.

Whichever you decide, you can set the ISMF report to a dataset and write a
REXX to parse it and generate DELVOL commands.

From what IBM say it's z/VM that's caused the connection to close, which
suggests that the output on the z/OS side is ok.
Sorry I can't be of any more help. It would be useful to know what the outcome
is though.
