Thanks
Looking at this list and the firewall requests that have been raised, it
seems we're covered.
Interesting as noted we have a zBC12 in the same room and there is no
problem accessing it and the new HMC'S for the z14 are in the same subnet
so should be covered by the same firewall rules.
Yea, I agree with Scott. You might not be actively employing any Pervasive
Encryption, but you probably still need the support. My own personal gripe is
folks that pick and choose what maintenance to put on based on what the
readable text says. I've learned over the years that quite often
Mary,
That doesn’t mean that the Pervasive ones weren’t called. Are your system
using Pervasive Encryption ?

Burroughs had several product lines; only the B6500 line survives at Unisys.
The B2500 line had the sign to the left. The B6500 had the sign bit to the
left for packed and to the right for signed numeric character data.

We put in zOS 2.3 on one of our LPARs last night. We have an IBM WebSphere
Application Server z/OS 8.5.0 that is getting an abend: CCSR010E SAFOEGES S0C4
at 27D6. We are running ACF2 R16 here.
IBM is pointing to a problem with CA product. Has anyone run into this issue?

Here is my "cheat sheet" for HMC ports and direction. However, I don't know if
they have changed for z14 ZR1, but they work for z13s.

As far as firewall rules go, we can access SOO remotely so I'm looking back at
some of my old firewall requests, and it looks like for a new HMC I requested
ports 443,9960 and 2300 to be opened. But in the current doc, port 2300 is
not referenced, so I don't recall what that was for.

Useless. Try search support portal for z/OS EOS.
That one is also less useful than others I have seen.

Hi Roger, we use BMC Control-M here at our shop so not sure what your AWS Batch
scheduler capabilities are, however, I wrote an application several years back
that took advantage of the Control-M api's to submit jobs from a webpage via
FTP to the JES reader.
It was really a slick little tool

Lizette,
I must have missed your question on this last week. No need to mess with
CONSOLE access via TSO. Use SDSF ISFSLASH facility instead. Here is some

We are replacing our zBC12 with a Z14 ZR1 which is DR machine. It will
connect to the same SAN as the zBC12 and we want to run the same LPAR
configuration and of course the same IOCDS.
Our support folks are trying to do the work remotely(externally) and are
getting stuck

get it. Reference APARs
