I'm not sure what that even means. Java programs are run by just invoking the JVM and specifying options on which class to run. The JZOS batch launcher is a z/OS Utility program that will do that for you. There is no "java subsystem" that needs to be started first. Kirk Wolf Dovetailed

Some folks have mentioned 'backplane' etc. There is no such thing as 'backplane' connectivity. One solution for a FICON CTC within a SINGLE CEC/CPC is to use a 'jumper cable' between 2 FICON ports - either on the same FICON card or 2 different ones. More about using and spec of the jumper
