I just found the following statement in GRS manual:
Guideline: IBM recommends moving all catalog and all VSAM data sets off
any volume that holds RACF database.
Q: What is the reason for that recommendation?
What is the risk if one does not do so?
I suspect this is related to RESERVE, but this is very vague.
Update: I checked some older manual - the statement is present in z/OS
1.13 version, but not in OS/390 2.10. I couldn't say it's new
requirement, but from the other hand it is not something "as old as MVS".
