I just got a chuckle from a TEKsystems recruiter. She caught me at lunch with my daughter, so I said I'd give her a minute or two just to tell me what she needed and then we'd have to finish later. Oh, she said, no problem, she's looking for someone to help with an ACF2-to-RACF migration, but systems engineers like you are just a dime a dozen anyway....
Yes, she was kidding. The poor recruiters are having it worse and worse. But it was nice that she could laugh about it. As it turned out I couldn't help her; I'm engaged part-time to two other clients, and this employer wanted someone 40 hr/wk "at least". I happen to know the client. The last time I worked a project for them, at its very height I was putting in ~much~ more than 40. I passed 100 one week, but that was carrying over about six hours from the previous week so it probably doesn't count.
