Will DB2 accounting trace records be written if a DB2 thread is automatically cancelled

We have a script in TMON for DB2 that automatically cancels selected DB2 threads if they exceed certain thresholds. When comparing cancelled thread messages with SMF 101 accounting records, it does not appear that the cancelled threads are being logged. Any ideas what might be causing the
