This is a new product from SecuriTeam Software that contiguously monitors security on IBM's legacy operating systems. This includes z/os ( RACF & TSS), z/VM, zLinux (Suse & RHEL), IBM I (including Linux and PASE). we will consider zVSE on request.
The product is based on Agent technology. the Agent runs diagnostic routines that are based on DoD STIG framework. The diagnostic routines run in an interval decided by the client to create a security baseline and triggered on events collected from console and ESM by exits to create an up-to date security status. each diagnostic routine includes a real time related asset discovery (which CICS are running, for example), analyze and report to server. It supports not only The current STIG repository, as we are working to develop many other "STIGs" based on the framework to assess more products. ISCM is a concept defined by NIST in 2011 in order to contiguously monitor security controls (24x7). IronSphere is the first and only product that implements ITCM. IronSphere is completely automated. No human intervention is required, nor report generation and review.
