Right there with you - last IPL of the prod system was Feb 26th, all LOCAL page
datasets are sitting @ 20%, I was told this was NORMAL for DB2

Chris I think that's entirely possible, I am no DB2 person, but I have
installed and configured tools for DB2 change data capture, DB2 to UDB, DB2 to
SQL, and I think the DBA's at least my DBA's define the buffer pools larger for
that purpose?
I also have large frame area defined of 7740M
For you, I hope that never happens, I have some AUX pages that never free, and
creep 1% or so every 2 days, been following the discussion and trying to
undersand why suddenly DB2 seems to be the culprit, when I've seen DB2
workloads
not have an adverse effect on AUX storage, my last IPL of
As J.O.Skip mentioned I had a similar issue, but I was joining 2 systems into a
JES2 MAS and there was a previous definition for another SYSNAME in the
definition, after I followed the doc some have pointed me to I was about to
modify the node name and get my jobs running after being submitted,
That technology has been around for many years, I first saw this provided by a
vendor on a large scale about 12 years ago with CA/OPS and Uni-center
sent text messages based on trapping messages for the console log, I think just
about any automation process / tool can do this now
Carmen
do you have ECS turned on?
are there multiple catalogs on the same volume?

Excellent, thanks for the update Ruth, I for one made a bad assumption you,

Good Info David, I can't recall, been too long since I've done this, I have to
assume I did not format the ZFS FS or I would have been the one reporting this
issue.

I've done this a couple years back with a product someone installed and the ZFS
filename was incorrect.

I've never had any luck resizing ZFS using the DSS copy, I'd be curious if that
works for Lizzette
zfsadm grow will work if the zfs was allocated with a large enough primary, my
personal preference, rather than having many extents to get my final results,
plus John makes a good point
