I had the same issue here. But it is not just the OpenDNS servers
that could not be pinged - I tried a dozen other servers including
some in India. Google's sites are the only ones that seem to get
through (I don't know why). But the problem seems to be solved-
atleast for now.

The BSNL broadband customer service helpline in now changed to 12678. Got a
