Agreed! But then it wont be a receiver. The original poster said, "I
want MythTV to act as the receiver". If it can't decrypt the
multimedia stream, or atleast control the STB, all it can do is act
like an analog to digital converter for TV. It won't be able to make
use of features like DVR using Electronic Programme Guide, or
automatic channel selection.
