hi,
I would use the 486 as a firewall. You just need to install monowall
(www.m0n0.ch/wall) on it. the entire OS fits on a CF disk (around 6 MB)

Or, try running fluxbox window manager on it...
But i doubt if u can run X server in 32 megs... but do try :-)

Uses would be data and word processing and connecting to the internet
using a phone- modem connection. Users are novices with no experience in
any OS but would like to as GUI as poss
