Oracle 8i works well with RHL 7.x. If you are
planning to implement Oracle 9i, I would recommend
Oracle 9i R2 on RHL 8.

Hi,
Do the the following:
Run setup:
Select firewall configuration
select the the trusted device as eth0 and set the
option to medium. Enable the service telnet.
Come out of setup and run the command
chkconfig telnet on
service xinetd restart
The telnet will begin working.
