I have a 2007 24" that is still purring like a baby kitten. No video issues at
all, still runs most games too.

Well, bad capacitors is a common problem with this model of machine. Perhaps,
this is your problem. There is a chance it could be a failing analog board as
well. I'd defiantly have it checked out. Is it a PowerPc or Intel based
