Hang on a minute, are you saying IIS3 can't do ip-less virtual web servers, ie, many web servers sharing a single address? But of the group of virtuals I have, the 'real server' and one ip-less virtual are working ok, it's the other two that aren't. How do explain that? Len

This message isn't caused by two programs trying to use the same IP. It is caused by a different computer trying to use the same IP address. Check the IP's of the other machines on your network. Chances are, someone or something is conflicting. Don't overlook network printers, DHCP servers,

Good point, Mr Ullrich, but we only have one IIS on this net, and the pb of domain1.com (base web) and domain2.com (virtual web, ip-less) working on one ip address is not due to ip conflicts. I've scanned our subnet several times this weekend for other reasons and their are no duped ip's. I am
