I can produce this same error message by connecting to my web messaging via IP Address rather than the proper named URL. It seems to be a bug in web messaging (we use KillerWebMail)

A customer running win98 is reporting problems with web messaging. When he composes a message, selects a .zip attachment, then clicks ">>attach>>", he gets a timeout (page cannot be found) after a couple of minutes. The file is small, just a few K's. Any other file seems to work fine, but zips fail, even if they are renamed to something else than .zip . >From the W* logs - seems related: 20040527 130947 Socket Error - 130.67.20.66 Error while writing sockect due to error 10053 or malicious connection type. 20040527 130947 Socket Error - 130.67.20.66 Error while writing sockect due to error 10053 or malicious connection type. 20040527 130947 Socket Error - 130.67.20.66 Error while writing sockect due to error 10053 or malicious connection type. Anyone else had this problem? What to do?
