I think you missed the leaves below grasses. It appears to be Eruca

Dear Surajit Ji,
I agree with Gurucharn sir's view.
Tubular ochrea with leaf like wings are suggesting this to be Persicaria
orientalis (L.) Spach
Family: Polygonaceae.

Ritesh.
Beautiful close up shots Surajit JiThanks for sharing.
Best regards,
Ritesh.
Thank you Sir for the ID. It is very common here, in marshes, around ponds,
uncultivated low land etc. but none could even tell me its local name.
Regards,
Surajit
Thank you Sir for the ID link.
Using the keys provided by you and Gurcharan Sir, now i find that the
Bengali name given for this plant in Plant Groups is PANI-MARICH.

Hello,
The plant looks to match Ipomoea dichroa to my mind,
I would opine that Ipomoea dichroa is the current accepted name and that

Thanks Surajit jee,
But Pani-Marich is generally referred to Persicaria hydropiper because of
the peppery taste of its leaf.
Regards,
Ritesh.
Yes Surajit ji

Good morning Sir.
I copy here the following entries from the book Plant Groups (by H.
Mukherji; pub. New Central Book Agency Pvt. Ltd.; 2005), vide page no. 1106
-
*Polygonum barbatum* L.
B. (Bengali name) BEKHUNJUBAZ
*Polygonum hydropiper* L.
E. Water pepper; B. PAKURMUL
*Polygonum orientale*
Thanks for the information Surajit ji..
I was referring P. hydropiper in general...but many of the Polygonums
contain 'Rutin' that makes the taste peppery. Moreover, I have never
checked P. orientale for its taste. Hoping to get some more information
from you.
Regards,
Ritesh.
Good morning Sir.
Thank you for confirming the ID. I took these photographs yesterday while i
was returning home by train. It was near a railway station when i noticed
it on my way to school. On my return path i got down from the train... and
the result is before you!
Have a nice day Sir.
Sir,
I was thinking of tasting a bit of its leaf too but was afraid of doing
so :)
Now, this email from you gives me green signal to go ahead. I hope i would
be able to inform you the result by tomorrow evening.
Regards,
Surajit

To me the matter seems to be not as simple. There seems to be a lot of
inconsistency of literature. GRIN and IPNI list I. dichroa Choisy (meaning
Choisy is the Author of the name), The Plant List mentions I. dichoroa
Hochst in A. Rich (which means Hochst. was author of name in publication of
A.
Ritesh ji
Looking at the leaves I was also to suggest P. orientale which I had
photographed from Kashmir, but held back as I could see slightly different
(may be being younger) inflorescence. Any way thanks for confirming.
