Thank you Vijayasankar for your suggestion, also the link to Cal photos. This a tree new to me. I would be so thrilled to have got a pic of a tree in Hamamelidaceae.
We grow many named shrubby Hamamelis. I love the tiny spidery flowers on the bare stems in January/ February. The scent on some is wonderful. They really lifts my spirits in the depth of a cold winter. Please can someone confirm if this is Exbucklandia populnea?
