Ushadi, I bought it as a small plant three years back from a nursery. Yes
the red bracts appear just when the winter starts and by the Christmas
time all the bracts are bigger and more red and the plant looks very
beautiful. The bracts will be there till March and then all be fell
down. I just gave a light pruning in March and the plant become tall with
green leaves. No synthetic fertilisers, just cow dung and worm tea for its
growth.
