The Plant List is a compilatoring organization, thoughtlessly copying the errors by others and adding some more of their own. Tropicos is but slightly better.
Regarding the identity of B. nervifolium and B. reinwardtii, it is quite simple Flower pedicels are always longer than sepals in B. reinwardtii, but the pedicel is always half or less as long as the sepals in B. nervifolium. Further the nervation is more clear and strong in B. nervifolium.
