Dear Pankaj ... was not aware that there are two avataars of *Bauhinia alba*!!! Referred to link of NPGS / GRIN ... it states *Bauhinia alba* Hort. as synonym of *B. variegata*. Many thanks for making me aware that the syntax is not necessarily followed.
