Thanks a lot for the id.
Also, thanks to all others who were trying to identify it for me.
It is exactly the same I had mentioned when I posted the pictures
initially.....as in Flowers of India.
Common names Purple Bignonia, Glow Vine or Purple Funnel Vine.
