Thank you Vijay for pointing out my mistake. Only *Ruellia tuberosa* is naturalized in India.
Here I think the leaves are smaller than that of *Dipteracanthus prostratus. *It is not very clear whether the plant is prostrate or erect from the picture. * * Any chance of *Ruellia *patula (Syn: Dipteracanthus patulus)?
