Re: [efloraofindia:237226] Barringtonia page with images of species in efloraofindia

2015-12-14 Thread Tapas Chakrabarty
I am happy to see the Barringtonia page, particularly seeing the two images
of B. asiatica which I posted. Here I would like to point out that there
are two more species, viz. B. pendula and B. reticulata are occurring in
India as per the following reference. The necessary additions may kindly
be made. I have no soft copy of the paper at present but I will scan it
and will send to you when I visit CNH next.

CHAKRABARTY, T. AND M. K. VASUDEVA RAO. 1984. *Barringtonia pendula*
and * B. reticulata* ( Lecythidaceae) in India. *J. Econ. Taxon. Bot. *5:
955 – 956.

Hello Everyone

What a wonderful site, and so much gratitude to you all for making it such
a valuable botanical resource!

I am from the UK and will be staying in Dehradun for two weeks in March
2016. I was wondering if there is anyone in this group who could help me
out by showing me some of the flora while I am staying there? I will have a
list of plants that I would like to find, mostly wild edible plants, so if
anyone is interested in meeting up, please feel free to contact me. I would
also be more than happy to reciprocate by paying any expenses incurred
during our time together. E.G. Taxis, meals etc.

Thanking you in advance...

Warmest regards
