Thanks, Saroj ji.
We do not have any observation of this species in efi so far.
To me it appears closer to images at Cuscuta reflexa

Flora of Pakistan

says *Cuscuta

sessile stamens and well-developed style.
But these can not be seen in your post.

[efloraofindia:280551] Torenia (Linderniaceae) page with images of species in efloraofindia

2017-11-03 Thread J.M. Garg
Dear members,

Pl. go through *‎**Torenia*

 (*Linderniaceae*
)
page with images of species in efloraofindia. *Few species (which are
either unidentified or wrongly identified) are under process of sorting out
and will be added in due course.*

If you find any incorrect identification, pl. let us know. If anybody can
send images of other species of this genera (for incorporation in the
website), if any, or can identify unidentified images, it will be really
nice.

This bush with elongated flower heads is female of Baccharis pilularis
subsp consanguinea, very common in hills near us known as Coyote hills,
that gives it common name Coyote bush or brush.

[efloraofindia:280553] efloraofindia (eFI) site completes seven years on 2 Nov. 2017

2017-11-03 Thread J.M. Garg
Dear members,
Here I would like to recall what Rawat ji said two years back:
"It was a great futuristic vision of Dinesh ji who created the efloraofindia
site which became operative
5 years back on 2nd November 2010, where all the posted messages and images
by members of efloraofindia google e-group are being compiled and managed.
It has really been a marathon effort of compiling all the posts in eFI
site. Since then this site has seen many changes for presenting information
in a user friendly manner with greater accuracy while also maintaining all
the posts in the database. It could be possible only due to Google group
called “Indiantreepixs” (created on 18th June 2007), which was later
renamed as efloraofindia. The group discusses plants, fungi, ferns etc. and
has a following of a large number of members and has accumulated a huge
wealth of information on Indian plants.
Today, eFI is the largest systematically arranged collection of images of
plants of India. More than 2,00,000 images of more than 11,000 species
uploaded by 2,500+ members from all parts of India makes it the largest
collection from India available on net. Soon all the species’ pages will be
having images for easy identification
. And
this treasure is ‘freely available to all’ without any advertisements,
which is the best part of eFI.
It is the time to feel proud for this great endeavour. It is also the time
to salute the selfless contributions of The Pillars
,
Subject Experts
,
Moderators ,
Major contributors

and other members of efloraofindia google e-group
. And it is also
the time to strengthen our determination to showcase all the plant species
of India on the canvas of eFI.

Progress of the group till June 2015 is depicted in the attached word
document:
Dr D.S.Rawat"

*Lot has changed in past two years. We have added more than 50,000 images
to our site although though a similar number of images are still to be
added in coming months. We have also created comparative images at species,
genera & family pages for 135 families for easy identification along with
many other things.*

Hi, Pankaj ji,
WCSP shows it as
a syn. of *Peristylus biermannianus (King & Pantl.) X.H.Jin*

Similarly other species kept in efi under this genera are in some other
genera as below:

*Platanthera** clavigera* Lindl., Gen. Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 289 (1835)
syn. of *Herminium
clavigerum (Lindl.) X.H.Jin, Schuit., Raskoti & Lu Q.Huang, Cladistics 32:
210 (2015).*

*Platanthera** edgeworthii* (Hook.f. ex Collett) R.K.Gupta, Fl. Nainital.:
349 (1968) syn. of *Herminium edgeworthii (Hook.f. ex Collett) X.H.Jin,
Schuit., Raskoti & Lu Q.Huang, Cladistics 32: 32: (2015).*

*Platanthera** latilabris* Lindl., Gen. Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 289 (1835)
syn. of *Herminium
latilabre (Lindl.) X.H.Jin, Schuit., Raskoti & Lu Q.Huang, Cladistics 32:

Should I correct them in efi as per this latest publication ?
