[efloraofindia:393377] Re: Flora of Kaiga & Kollegala Cymbidium aloifolium 27072021 PK validation

2021-07-26 Thread Pankaj Kumar
Dear Sir
Can you please show me pics of leaves of plants bearing these flowers with
a scale. I need to know the width and see the apex. There are two species
here, Cymbidium aloifolium (98313, 8182) and C. bicolor (94211, Kaveri).
Thanks and regards
Pankaj

2021-07-26 Thread Aarti S. Khale
Thanks a lot Radha Ji.
There are many Bombax trees on this route.
I will be observing it every time I pass by.
When I was travelling to Nasik, the area was completely covered with mist.
This is at the beginning of Kasara Ghat as it is commonly known, the other
name being Thal Ghat.
Hope to catch the flowers/pods some day.
Regards,
Aarti

Yes. Very luxuriant growth. Very common here. It is on my street about 100
ft from my house. The wood is very valuable and used for making world
famous Channapatna toys. It has many other medicinal uses.
