The names at flowersofindia.in are in the process of being
cleaned up. However, doing it for 3,500 species will take some time.
Meanwhile you will notice that in the newer additions, the flower-
slide has an info icon next to the botanical name - hovering the
mouse over
I think the major portion of its wild population occurs in AP. Even though
Gamble mentions its presence in the Hills of Cuddapah, S. Kurnool, *N. Arcot
and Chingleput*, we have not come across its wild populations during our

I am not sure of this plant being Malpighia coccigera because
the said plant has leaves with serrate mergins (spinuous) but
the posted plant seems to have entire leaf margin though some
leaves in the back drop seems to have serrate
margin.
