Thank you Pankaj sir I think understanding genes is one of the very
difficult and interesting efforts in this field...
But suppose if we identify the genes responsible for the shape and size of
a particular fruit, say an orange, and we make some changes in the
sequences,so that the next progeny
I was thinking the same...thanks
A great good evening to everyone
Considering that we sometimes see only 1 seed, sometimes 2 seeds in a peanut
pod, sometimes 3 or even 4then the question arises *is it not decided
that how many ovules does an ovary contain as in case of peanut?*
is that does the type of genes which regulate the
size and the shape of a fruit are identified or they are still to be
discovered...So can anyone give me information about such genes by taking
an example of an orange or an apple or any other fruit..I will be highly
thankful..

Ankush
Hello everyone...please clear my doubt about this double fertilisation
*
Considering double fertilization in angiosperms, how many
sperm are involved in the formation of a mature 2-seeded peanut pod?
