Lovely picture Dinesh ji.
The Malayalam name seems to be missing the second letter. It is പാല്മുതുക്ക്. It means 'milky tuber'. Yet another name for the same plant that I came across in Malayalam is അഞ്ചിലത്താളി (Anjilathali). The term 'താളി' (thali) is a general Malayalam word used to indicate any leaf whose extract can be used as a shampoo. Anjila means five leaves. So the name would mean 'Five-leaved thali'. Perhaps these leaves are used as a shampoo. I am not sure. Warm Regards, Sandhya -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "efloraofindia" group.
