Flowers turn upside down after anthesis to release the pollinator trapped at the basal dome of the corolla around gynostegium. Downward pointing stiff hair inside the corolla tube also become limp to let out the insect. There is no harm (to the plant) in cut opening the pollinated flower to see these interesting features.
