04/11/11 Sir, Rather than C.carandas, it appears to be closer to C.congesta which is more popular as an ornamental fruit than the sweeter taste of the former. The fruits are seldom used for hair decoration in Maharashtra by ladies. However, an expert may please confirm the identification.
