How to enforce user enter log message when run commit command ?

Hello :   I install CVSNT server in win2000 server.Now I want to enforce user to enter log message for all commit operation.The meaning is enforce use "-m" option at commit command .How to do ?If you know,Would you send the scripts to me?Thank you.

Ok, My problem was that the server had "/cvs/cvsroot" which I renamed to "/cvs/CVSROOT" so it could reference the "passwd" file underneath - I also did a chown -R and chmod -R to cvs:cvs with 775 and made anoncvs a member of the group cvs. So, it all works now. I verified this on the Linux and Wi

connecting to repository on a linux machine from win2k machine

Thanks Matt for the reply, i've tried to connect to the repository on linux machne from wincvs on my win2000 mahine. Let me put it in steps i've done to be more clear - 1. "vsriram@cin1161:/usr1/vsriram/myCVSROOT" - here cin1161 is the machine no of the linux machine, and the cvsroot is at myCV

CVS Update Question

Hi folks, I have a question about cvs update. Say I have placed a tag on certain files in the repository. I checkout the tagged files into my work area using cvs co -r TAGNAME Say I now want to switch the sandbox to the latest version of all the files that were tagged. When I try cvs update
