Hi, I believe I've found the source of my confusion. When a file is deleted in CVS, then revised by another user, cvs checkout will not produce the file, however cvs checkout -D now will. I'm uncertain if that's a bug or a feature, use of checkout -D ... seems to be the safer way to go. Here

, and relative shifts in the client clock. cvs status reports that the resurrected file(s) are up to date and the repository revision contains the word "Attic". Any ideas on how to change cvs behavior so deleted files are not placed back into the local copy when -D is used? Thanks in advance

for binaries (not that I've ever team-edited a gif file), but at least the central repository and versioning remains. I agree with someone's observation that most projects are no longer pure text. -- Bruce Tiffany
