I've gotten something similar when I had messed up the inetd.conf file. Send you lines from inetd.conf to the list... PServer connection failure
Hi, I have CVS server set up on Solaris.I'm trying to access the sever from WINNT thru the PServer method. My inetd.conf file reads as(all in one line) cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/bin/cvs cvs --allow-root=/export/home/vinoth/cvsrepos pserver My services file has the entry cvspserver 2401/tcp The passwd file is in vinoth/cvsrepos/CVSROOT It reads as vinoth:vL1aKHEoyitHU This user vinoth is in a unix group called cvs when i connect thru a client to the server :pserver:vinoth@dev-sun1:/export/home/vinoth/cvsrepos login and give the password,then it throws me an error as cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from dev-sun1: CVS commands are: Is there anything wrong in what i'm doing? can u pls solve my problm. thanx, sam Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
