Folks,
Using cyrus-2.0.11 and openssl-0.9.5a on RedHat-7.0, I took a stab at securing
imap traffic with SSL.
I followed the recommendations forgenerating a self-signed cert in the docs,
namely:
openssl req -new -x509 -nodes -out /var/imap/server.pem -keyout
/var/imap/server.pem -days 365

i got this to work with manual installation.
for automatic installation there exists somewhere a web-frontend which is
called websieve.
i haven't used it until now.
manual installation:
i assume that "sievedir" is "/foo".
you are right, that sieve looks for the user "bar" in the folder
"/foo/b

I have installed cyrus imap with no real problems, but when I try to run

Hi there,
I am in the process of building a new mail server based on Cyrus 2.0.11 (we
currently use 1.5.14 on our production system).
We make extensive use of bb style mailboxes, and have facilities set up to
allow users to send mail to addresses such as user+user.grant.mailbox, to

i'm using sendmail (8.11.1) with amavis (perl-10) and cyrus (2.0.11). the
cyrus-mailer calls amavis, which then calls deliver.
when you wanna you use amavis, check out the web page for it.
there you can find some documentation for using it in different mail-system

Hello,
I need to forward a message with a modified "To:" field. The
"redirect" sieve action just changes the SMTP envelope (or makes
the MTA change the envelope).
Is there a sieve action to do what I want? Is it possible that
there might be one, sometime?
The reason I need this is th
I'm using sendmail 8.11.2 and cyrus imapd 2.0.11, currently using
"deliver" as the delivery agent. This forks two processes ("deliver"
and "lmtpd") for incoming mail, right? (assuming prefork=0) As far as
I can tell sendmail doesn't keep the LMTP connection up between
incoming connections either

So I've got sasl/imap in place and fully working
and my next task is to configure qmail to work with
cyrus. How should I go about this? Any documentation
on this?

Greetings,
My Division at Rutgers University has recently re-engineered our email
