Hello,
Athentication via PLAIN requires that one of several backend methods are
available to do the actual authentication. In the SASL readme.html doc
it lists sasldb, pwcheck daemon, or the saslauthd daemon. I believe you
may also write a method of your own. We use the saslauthd daemon for

There is no further development on any branches other than HEAD at this
time (um, well, Rob is working on some sieve byte-code stuff but this is
limited to a small set of files
Any chance one of you could do this so that the branch is validated and up

If you *REALLY* need this functionality for 2.0.16, I'd suggest doing
this via CVS. Grab the 'hier-sep' branch and the merge the
'cyrus-release-2-0-16' tag.

Hi everybody
I'm running cyrus-imapd-2.0.16 on redhat linux 7.1, but there is a strange
behaviour in cyrus that I figured out that it might be a bug, at least on

imagine the following situation:
we have a used(as stated in service.c) service and its idle for 60 seconds,

Hello,
I initially thought this was a permissions issue when I saw similar

I've about convinced myself that its not and am now thinking that it may

I have Cyrus 2.0.16 and postfix installed on a RedHat 7.2 system. About
8-10 times a day, either lmptd or imap will die. Once a thread dies, the
server is unusable, and has to be restarted before it will accept any
connections. The server currently has only a dozen boxes on it, and

Hello,
We use AFS but do not have it doing anything for IMAP. Our
authentication
scheme sounds just like what you want to do however. I've only recently
got something to compile and it looks like it will work, but it hasn't
been
tested extensively yet.
Are you putting the user folders in AFS? O
