I have this very same problem. It began after I had some minor DB corruption problems. The db_recover util got me out of trouble but the log files are no longer being deleted. I suspect deleting /var/imap/db/* and dumping the mailboxes.db to a text file and re-importing it with ctl_mboxlist mig
