Hi,
I don't know of an Opteron series, but there are newer versions of
Cyrus which have fixed some bugs on x86_64.
I think the problem is that ld can't find the ssl library.
You should check the library Path and add the path where your ssl library is.

Dear List,
Is there any specific source of CyrusIMAP for AMD 64 Opteron series ?. I
am getting strange error while compiling CyrusIMAP2.3.1 on the above
said server. The error is as follows.
user.markr has, through a sequence of events, ended up with data on
both partition8 (/var/imap/partition-8) and default (/var/imap/
partition-1). All his mailboxes have been consolidated into
default, but there are still copies in partition-8.
So I think ctl_mboxlist -v should report that

Hi Holger,
how does the output of
ps aux |grep saslauthd
look like?
It should look like:/usr/sbin/saslauthd -a ldap
and NOT:/usr/sbin/saslauthd -a pam
Best regards

Hi Holger,
Are you using Thunderbird ?
I'm running 2.3.9 on a FreeBSD 6.2 system.
Recently, I installed 2.3.9 on an Ubuntu 7.10 system and set it up as

Everything seems to be running well, except that the sync_client -r

Hi Holgar,
your problem is saslauthd related - I think so.
you have two way of auth cyrus imap against LDAP
either 'saslauthd -o ldap' - /sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd
/or directly - sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop
sasl_auxprop_plugin: ldapdb
If you ask what I
sync_client in 2.3.10 should be much more resilient.

It usually dies for a reason, i.e., some

That's good to know. However, I'm reluctant to upgrade quite yet,
given that 2.3.10 has only been out for a week and (judging from the
Cyrus IMAPd 2.3.10 Released thread) seems to have a few problems.
Can you (or anyone
