Folks, RedHat have a great .spec file for sasl1+2 combined in their rawhide development snapshot. You might want to check it out, I'm using it now. How do I convince timsieved to use saslauthd? It seems to want to use sasldb. Feb 6 11:45:52 polaris timsieved[20740]: Could not open

imaps - intermittent connection failures

2001-03-26 Thread Darren Nickerson
Folks, I'm unable to get cyrus-imapd's SSL support to offer reliable service, and I was wondering if anyone might recognize the problem. Essentially every SECOND connection to imaps fails. My test case is fetchmail client connection to imaps, but I see the problem with Outlook 2000 as well.

LMTP AUTH? (Cyrus imapd + Postfix)

2001-03-19 Thread Darren Nickerson
Folks, I'm trying to deliver mail to a Cyrus mailstore using postfix's LMTP over TCP functionality. Is there any way to get LMTP AUTH to work, or do I just have to settle for running Cyrus's lmtpd with the "-a" flag? That results in: Mar 19 01:01:34 mail2 lmtpd[30269]: connection from

Folks, A while back I was looking for Cyrus+Postfix best practice. See: http://msgs.SecurePoint.com/cgi-bin/get/postfix0012/336.html I've made some progress and am basically soliciting feedback on my approach thus far. In a previous life, my setup used SASL to manage both Cyrus imapd

Cyrus-2.0.7 + LDAP + CRAM-MD5 can never work, by definition?

2000-12-08 Thread Darren Nickerson
Folks, I must be missing something obvious here . . . please can someone tell me how to get Cyrus to use LDAP for all types of authentication? I'm happily using PAM + LDAP for Cyrus authentication thanks to the following line in /etc/imapd.conf: sasl_pwcheck_method: pam and it's working fine
