So you're DB_CONFIG is in /var/imap/db ? I don't think you specified.
We use skiplist for a lot of our db formats since you then don't encounter
these strange DB problems.

We run Cyrus 2.2 on our frontends (and 2.3 everywhere else) since they
don't have the bug.
