ldd /usr/cyrus/bin/imapd
linux-gate.so.1 = (0xe000)
libsasl2.so.2 = /usr/lib/libsasl2.so.2 (0x40034000)
libssl.so.0.9.7 =

AFAIK this (Bad IPREMOTEPORT )is a problem with mixed SASL version
(1.x/2.x)
e.g. Postfix with 1.x and cyrus with 2.x or cyrus with both ;-(
On what host? There was only one SMTP-connection at this time:
