I tried 2.3.7 and run into different errors.
So I wanted to open a bugzilla account. But I got a blank page after
pressing the create account button and got no email.

I know, this has been up quite some times, and I've seen quite a few
small scripts and things to do batch creation of mailboxes, but just not
the variant I need ATM.
So, can somebody please help me out? I'm not really good at scripting,
and definately not in perl.
What I need to do is to
Hi,
I have installed and configured cyrus-imapd-2.3.7 and
cyrus-sasl-2.1.22 on my Linux (FC 4) machine. I am able to
telnet to my server on imap port. I am also able to get
cyradm prompt when I type cyradm on cmd line. But,
whenever I try cyradm localhost, then I get no prompt(only a
blank line) .
Thank you Simon!
I wonder why Cyrus hasn`t it already implemented in stable tgz. I
prepare production server and won`t use some non-official patches, which
do not come from Cyrus team.
But thank you again, this will help me much.

Hi Sven,
Thanks a lot for your reply. even this is not working. One thing more,
when I do telnet to my machine (acting as a server), then also, I am
not able to run any IMAP command such as login, logout etc. I am
getting a blank prompt like this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ telnet

This isn't thoroughly tested or anything, but you could use something
like the following to generate a command list to be fed to cyradm, no?
It doesn't check for things like the user already having a Spam
mailboox, but... that wouldn't be hard to add. Is -c appropriate
I have a script you could probably use as a starting point... Please contact
me off list for details. Depending on your needs you will probably need to
rip out some code as it also generates ldap samba accounts, creates home
directories, etc...

My effort to install Cyrus has been largely successful.
I would expect to see a function to bounce email with a 5.1.1 User unknown
error. But I haven't seen this function described or even acknowledged
within Cyrus.
As far as I understand, I need a hook for my MTA (Sendmail) to query. Does
