Re: 2.5.11 shared seen

2018-03-18 Thread Bron Gondwana
Shared seen in 2.4 and below was done by storing the seen information in
a global database. In 2.5 and above, it's stored in the cyrus.index (if
shared seen is enabled, it duplicates the owner's seen information).
It may be that the upgrade path is broken for shared seen, I'm not sure
how well it was tested - we didn't have a testing framework back then.
Regards,

Bron.

Hi info-cyrus,

If anyone with experience using shared seen could jump in and help
out, that'd be great. I'm out of my depth here and don't know what
else to ask!
Cheers,

ellie

Hi Gabriele,

Which version have you upgraded from?  (I'm not sure if this makes a
difference, but it might)

The annotation you're using looks correct to me.  Do the users have the 's' ACL
permission on the mailboxes?

Cheers,

ellie

Hi,

I've noticed that on upgraded systems to 2.5.11 shared seen is no more working.
Our software used to set shared seen state via set annotation
/vendor/cmu/cyrus-imapd/sharedseen true

Is this still ok or is there a different way to do it?

Thanks,
Gabriele
