Hello, I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Dico version 2.3.
GNU Dico is a modular implementation of DICT server and accompanying utilities. The server is able to retrieve articles from various dictionary database formats and offers a wide range of strategies for searching. See <http://www.gnu.org.ua/software/dico>, for details. This is a stable release. See the end of this message for the list of noteworthy changes. First, be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this: gpg --verify dico-2.3.tar.gz.sig If that command fails because you don't have the required public key, then run this command to import it: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 55D0C732 and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command. This release was bootstrapped with the following tools: Autoconf 2.69 Automake 1.14 Gettext 0.19 Makeinfo 5.9.93 Bison 2.5.1 Flex 2.5.35 New features and fixes in this release: * IPv6 support * Guile 2.x support * New matching strategy: metaphone2 The metaphone2 strategy implements the Double Metaphone phonetic encoding algorithm. * Implements info and description for GCIDE dictionary * Fixed minor bug in the idxgcide tool. * Added manpages Kind regards, Sergey Poznyakoff -- If you have a working or partly working program that you'd like to offer to the GNU project as a GNU package, see https://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html.
