how to make Group not show "nnimap+$server:INBOX.$mailbox", just $mailbox"

I once read somewhere in the Gnus documentation that there was a trick, that would allow as user to hide "nnimap+$server:INBOX.$mailbox" and only list $mailbox in, for example, the Group buffer. I'd like to try that, but now I don't see how. Hints appreciated
