This is something we used to have, and now I find it very frustrating
to start looking for a login screen whenever I spot a spelling mistake
(or worse) in a page I'm reading.

As far as im aware hits supposed to be there in the bottom all the time.
However its a bug in the current design that makes it hide.
There is a workaround to make it appear again, clear your cookies and
reload the page without cache and it should appear again.
